Federal Liberal MP Andrew Hastie has slammed the State Government for not inviting him to Sunday's Lakelands Train Station opening.
Mr Hastie claims he was snubbed by Transport Minister Rita Saffioti despite helping to secure 80 per cent of the funding for the $72 million project.
"I made it my mission to deliver this, I secured $64 million of the overall funding and that's why this happened today," he told 7NEWS at the official opening.
"Next time I'd love an invite from Rita, it's a party we can all celebrate in but she just wanted all the cake for herself."
Ms Saffioti said Mr Hastie was welcome to attend.
"This is a community open day and we invite everybody to enjoy this day," she said to reporters on Sunday.
Mandurah MLA David Templeman told West Coast Radio Mr Hastie was not snubbed.
"Well everyone was invited so I'm not sure what Mr Hastie is upset about," Mr Templeman said.
Sunday's official opening of the train station was celebrated with a community event and a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by hundreds of locals.
