If you’re travelling on Forrest Highway through to Bussell Highway today you should expect some delays as two Oversize convoys make their way from Perth to Margaret River.
Main Roads is warning drivers to take care on Forrest Highway through to Bussell Highway today as trucks carrying bridge beams to Margaret River make their way there today.
The Main Street in Margaret River will be closed for around 10 minutes later this afternoon as the beams are taken to the southern end of town.
If you are using the roads make sure to follow directions from Heavy Vehicle Pilots and Traffic Escort Wardens
The beams are part of the Margaret River Perimeter Road Project which will see a 7km bypass road installed in the southwest.
It will extend from Airport Access Road north of Margaret River and link back to Bussell Highway south of the town.
This project will provide an alternative route for heavy vehicles around the Town of Margaret River, in order to reduce congestion and enhance safety for pedestrians and local traffic.
