Emergency services are in Kwinana responding to calls of a chimney fire at the BP refinery.
Police are on scene managing traffic in the area.
Twelve career fire fighters and four volunteer fire fighters have contained the blaze, which started in the chimney of a decommissioned plant.
A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said there was no smoke in the area and no cause for concerns for nearby residents.
