South Mandurah Football Club and Dudley Park Bowling Club are set to upgrade facilities.
More than $100,000 from the McGowan Government will be awarded to two local sporting groups to upgrade club facilities.
South Mandurah Football Club has been allocated $60,455 towards building a new unisex change room.
The new facilities form part of the club's inclusion in the Peel Football League’s inaugural women’s competition.
Mandurah MLA David Templeman welcomed the announcement of funds.
“This is fantastic news for South Mandurah Football Club and recognises the importance of having women’s facilities available," he said.
“Now that the club has been included in the Peel Football League’s inaugural women’s competition, these new facilities are very welcome indeed.
“It is wonderful to see the McGowan Government responding quickly to community demand and recognising an emerging need.”
Dudley Park Bowling Club also received $42,342 to assist with resurfacing its bowling green, supporting the club’s role as an important social and sporting hub for the Mandurah community.
Money was allocated from the latest round of the Community Sport and Recreation Facilities Fund.
Groups can apply for funding to help grow grassroots sport in the community.
