The Shire of Murray has been presented with a $21,000 Lotterywest grant for two upcoming events in the region.
Member for Murray-Wellington Robyn Clarke presented Deputy Shire President Douglas McLarty with the grant which will go towards the Pinjarra Festival and Christmas on the Murray event.
"I am proud to be able to present this Lotterywest grant to the Shire of Murray. The Pinjarra Festival runs on 1-2 June and is always a remarkable occasion that brings the community together with an abundance of free family entertainment," Ms Clarke said.
"Christmas on the Murray is such a deserving recipient of this grant. Another fantastic family event, that brings the community together with timeless carols and lots of seasonal joy. It’s exactly what we need each year to jump start our Christmas spirit."
