Mandurah detectives are appealing for information, after a woman was assaulted in Lakelands early Friday morning.
Around 2:10am, a 24-year-old woman was leaving a house on Gooljak Rise in a silver Holden Commodore when the vehicle allegedly struck another 24-year-old woman causing her to fall to the ground.
Shortly after the incident, a man known to the driver of the Commodore has allegedly removed the driver from the vehicle and assaulted her.
Police arrived on the scene shortly afterwards locating the 24-year-old woman injured on the ground.
She was conveyed by St John Ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital where she is currently in a stable condition.
The 26-year-old man has since been charged with common assault in circumstances of aggravation and will appear in the Mandurah Magistrates Court Friday February 26.
The investigation into the woman being struck by the vehicle is ongoing.
