A 34-year-old man will front court today charged over a serious crash in Perth's south that injured eight members of the same family.
The man was allegedly driving a stolen Toyota Hilux on Leach Highway on Saturday afternoon when he ploughed into the back of a mini van that was stopped at a red light in Wilson.
The force sent the van into the rear of a truck, wedging it under the trailer.
The eight occupants of the van, six adults and two children, received serious injuries and were rushed to Royal Perth Hospital and Perth Children's Hospital.
The driver of the stolen Hilux received facial injuries and allegedly fled the scene, boarding a bus that travelled to Bentley.
He was later arrested by police.
The man from Gosnells has been charged with four offences, including failing to stop and render assistance.
He will front the Perth Magistrates Court today.
