Homicide Squad detectives are seeking information on a missing 55-year-old Dean Patrick White.
Mr White, known as Whitey to his friends, last made contact on 31 March 2017 and was last known to be in the vicinity of Quairading in Western Australia's Wheatbelt region in late March 2017.
He was also believed to be living in Merebin in Victoria in March 2017, before he made his way to WA.
Homicide Squad Detective Senior Sergeant Manus Walsh said circumstances surrounding Mr White's disappearance are unusual.
“Dean has not made contact with his family and friends for nearly a year, and that is considered very unusual,” he said.
“He often travelled alone, and slept in his vehicle or the trailer.
"Although he kept to himself, he was friendly in nature.”
His vehicle, a white Toyota Landcruiser 89 model 1HJ 9WS, was involved in a single vehicle crash in High Vale, Queensland in June 2017.
It was also towing his blue camper trailer, W74 127.
Police don’t believe that Mr White was in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
He is described as being 175cm tall, with a medium build, greying hair and blue eyes.
Police will set up mobile policing facilities in Quairading and Kambalda on Tuesday and in Kambalda and Tammin on Wednesday.
Officers will also be visiting the Eastern Goldfields at Cocklebiddy and Balladonia and Midwest Gascoyne regions at Cunderdin.
Anyone who can assist in this investigation is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au
