The move is set to give residents greater access to the decision-making process during council meetings.
Meetings will also be livestreamed from January 1, 2025 in line with new requirements in the Local Government Act.
Mayor Rhys Williams said the decision was a positive move towards greater accessibility, and public awareness of the transparency of local government decision making.
“Recording our Council meetings and making them accessible to the public will allow more residents to engage with the decisions that affect our community,” Mayor Williams said.
“By making the democratic process available online, we are ensuring that we are doing everything possible for our community to be informed, involved and connected to their local government. It’s a great step forward for Mandurah, and I am proud to see this initiative come to fruition."
Residents will be able to access the recordings from August through the City of Mandurah’s website.
