A whole month's worth of rain fell in just 24 hours in Mandurah over the weekend after a massive front swept across Perth and the South West.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, 52.6mm of rain was dumped on the Peel region on Saturday and Sunday, the highest daily rainfall for the month of June since records began.

Rottnest recorded the highest rainfall across the region with 61mm of rain.

Localised flooding was reported in several areas and Mandurah's Rushton Park resembled a pond.

Showers are forecast for today but are set to ease by this afternoon.

Mandurah is expected to reach a maximum of just 14C.
