
Members of the community, local businesses and organisations gathered on the Mandurah foreshore on Thursday for the annual Homelessness Awareness Day.
Hosted by WestAus Crisis and Welfare Service, the annual event, which has been running for over 20 years in the Peel region, provides resources, support and information for those experiencing homelessness.
People in needed of assistance were able to access free haircuts, sleeping bags, swags, tents, blankets, clothing, food and other necessities, which were all been donated by local businesses or members of the public.
The event coincided with Homelessness Week (August 4 to August 10).
