Mandurah has been voted the best tourism town in Australia at the Top Tourism Town Awards held in Canberra on Thursday.
The City was recognised for its iconic waterways and coastline, along with the success of Thomas Dambo's Giants of Mandurah exhibition which saw a surge of visitors to the region in the past year.
Mandurah is no stranger to tourism awards having taken out Western Australia's Top Tourism Town in 2022 and 2023.
Mayor Rhys Williams said he is thrilled Mandurah has again been put on the tourism map.
"What this is a real credit to is our business operators who have really embraced a new way of doing business over the past few years," he told West Coast Radio.
"The rest of the country now know what we know and that is Mandurah is a remarkable place with so much to offer and the Giants have certainly been a huge contributor to winning this award, but it's been in the pipeline for a long time I think because of the hard work of so many people."

Visit Mandurah General Manager Anita Kane said it is a remarkable achievement.
“Here at Visit Mandurah, we are thrilled that our stunning coastal city has been recognised on a national level as a Top Tourism Town. It is a prestigious title and one we truly believe Mandurah is worthy of," she said.
"For the last five years in particular, Mandurah’s tourism industry has adapted, innovated, and reimagined its offerings. It is a real joy to see these efforts recognised."
The Peel region cleaned up at the awards with Dwellingup taking out Top Tiny Tourism Town.
