The City of Mandurah is reminding locals that the junk and metal verge collection is well underway.
Below is an outline of what is and isn't allowed in the collection.
Junk and Metal allowed:
- Whitegoods
- Electrical goods
- Furniture
- Scrap metal
- Timber products
- General junk
NOTE: Doors must be detached from fridges and freezers.
Junk and Metal not allowed:
- Green waste
- Asbestos
- Fibre cement products
- Building waste
- Car bodies, vehicle parts, tyres or batteries
- Paints
- Chemicals
- Medical/ Veterinary Waste
- Domestic Rubbish
- Plate glass/shower screens
- No more than three cubic metres
Please place bulk rubbish on your front verge in two separate piles; junk and metal.
