The local transport group has been nominated in the upcoming Western Australian Regional Achievement & Community Awards.
Mandurah Taxis Pty Ltd has been nominated for the Insurance Commission of Western Australia Regional Safety Award in the 2018 Western Australian Regional Achievement and Community Awards.
The awards encourage, acknowledge and reward the valuable contributions individuals, communities and businesses are making throughout regional and rural Western Australia.
The company is being recognised for its efforts to reduce the number of drink drivers and accidents on Peel roads by encouraging customers to pre plan their transport before a night out.
Mandurah Taxis said it was looking to target young males under the age of 30, who are a group over represented in the road trauma statistics from accidents involving alcohol.
Judging will take place on Thursday August 30 with finalist to be presented and winners announced at an awards gala presentation in October.
