A WA mine site worker has been diagnosed with measles.
The Fortescue Metals Group employee flew to the Christmas Creek site on October 2 and presented to the medical clinic on Saturday.
The staff member was quarantined before leaving the mine site on a Royal Flying Doctors Service plane.
A measles warning has now been issued to people who were at the Christmas Creek site and the Cloudbreak Airport between October 2 and 12, as well as Perth Airport on October 2.
There has now been 20 confirmed cases of measles in WA since mid-September, mainly in the Rockingham area.
People with measles typically develop symptoms approximately 10 days after being exposed to the virus, but this can vary from 7 to 18 days.
Early symptoms include fever, cough, runny nose and sore eyes, followed by a red blotchy rash three or four days later.
