A motorcyclist has been charged over a hit-and-run in Warnbro that left an elderly man with serious leg injuries.
The 78-year-old victim was walking his dog around 3.20pm on November 3 when he crossed Currie Street near the intersection of Evans Street.
As he was about to step onto the kerb on the opposite side of the road the motorcyclist allegedly hit him before speeding off.
The victim suffered serious lower leg injuries and remains in hospital receiving treatment.
The rider, a 35-year-old man from Port Kennedy, has been charged with failing to stop and ensure assistance after an incident occasioning grievous bodily harm, failing to report an incident occasioning grievous bodily harm and no authority to drive.
He is next due to appear before the Rockingham Magistrates Court on November 21.
