The man will face court later this month over the incident.
Authorities have charged a 54-year-old Man from Oakford after the pilot of the police helicopter reported visual interference on several occasions.
Just before midday on Friday June 29 the pilot reported four separate incidents where visual interference was caused by a bright blue laser while patrolling the Oakford area.
The crew of the helicopter were able to direct police ground resources to an address in Swamp Gum Road, where a man was arrested and a laser pointer seized.
The accused was charged with causing fear or alarm to the driver or pilot of a conveyance or others.
He'll appear before the Armadale Magistrate later this month.
