Thousands of Peel region students have returned to school this morning after a week delay following the COVID-19 lockdown.
Masks are mandatory for all secondary students, teachers and parents in the Perth and Peel regions, while primary school students are exempt.
Teachers will be permitted to take their mask off in the classroom while directly communicating with students.
Parents are also allowed to enter schools and drop off their children at classrooms, however they must be wearing a mask.
Motorists are reminded that 40km/h school zones are now in force.
