A bakery in Pinjarra will be closed for the foreseeable future after a car slammed into the shop.
Police say a Nissan X-Trail was travelling north on McLarty Road around 11.20pm on Thursday, February 11, when it failed to take a bend at Peel Street, smashing through the wall of Kim Bakery Cafe.
Police, St John Ambulance, SES, Western Power, Department of Fire and Emergency Services and the gas company ATCO all attended the scene.
The driver, a man in his late 20s, was taken to Peel Health Campus for a medical assessment.
Investigations are ongoing.
The crash caused extensive damage to the bakery.
