Police are on the hunt for a blue Nissan Navara ute that was allegedly involved in a dangerous high-speed chase in the South West.
Officers attempted to stop the ute, which was bearing false number plates and towing a trailer, on The Boulevard in Australind around 9.50am on Tuesday, September 2.
The driver allegedly sped off, leading police on pursuit along the Forrest Highway and surrounding roads, heading towards Brunswick Junction and Harvey.
At one point a 49-year-old male passenger got out of the Nissan as it slowed down on Flynn Road in Beela.
He was taken in custody and is assisting police with their inquiries.
"The trailer attached to the Nissan later became disconnected as the driver continued to avoid police," a WA Police spokesperson said.
"The evade was discontinued for safety reasons, with it being alleged, the Nissan was being driven in a reckless and dangerous manner, including at high speed, and on the incorrect side of the road. The Nissan was last seen driving in a northerly direction along Forrest Highway in Parkfield."
Police Airwing were deployed to the area.
Anyone who sights the Nissan should call police immediately on 131 444.
