Rockingham will be featured on two of Perth’s busiest roads over the next month, with the City’s Rediscover Rockingham branding set to be highlighted on billboards along the Kwinana and Mitchell Freeways.
Running until Sunday April 10, Rediscover Rockingham imagery is currently featured on the Kwinana Freeway electronic billboard, which is located on the Leach Highway overpass adjacent to Bull Creek Train Station.
Following this, Rediscover Rockingham branding will be highlighted on the Mitchell Freeway electronic billboard in Greenwood from Monday April 4 to Sunday April 24.
The images featured on the billboards will represent three themes of adventure, nature and relaxation.
Across both sites, City of Rockingham Mayor Deb Hamblin said the billboards could be seen by around 232,000 people per week during the campaign.
“The active pursuit of tourism and economic development is a key aspiration in the City’s Strategic Community Plan, and the latest billboard advertising campaign delivered through our Tourist Destination Strategy strongly supports this,” Mayor Hamblin said.
“Both of these billboards are located on some of Perth’s busiest stretches of road and are in prime position to capture the intrastate tourism market. Ultimately, the campaign seeks to drive visitation to our City and further extend our summer tourist season.”
The launch of advertising on the Kwinana and Mitchell Freeway billboards follows on from the City’s Rediscover Romance campaign in February 2022.
