The Rockingham Flames and their women's head coach Lukas Carey have mutually agreed to part ways.
Carey, who took over from Marcus Wong following their 2024 NBL1 West grand final win, was contracted until the end of 2026, but has stepped down effective immediately.
"We thank Coach Carey for his dedication and contributions to the Women's NBL1 program and wish him all the best in his future endeavors," the Flames said in a statement.
High Performance Manager Ryan Petrik, who is also the men's NBL1 West coach, will now oversee the women's program as well.
It comes after a slow start to the 2025 NBL1 West season for the women who have recorded just two wins from seven games.
"We are confident in our women's program and players and remain committed to the continued development and success of our athletes," the club said.
