The family of a 16-year-old boy critically injured in a crash that killed two of his friends in Secret Harbour say the teenager is a fighter and will continue to fight.
Shaun Sparrow remains in a coma, three days after the deadly crash on Secret Harbour Boulevard.
He was one of three passengers in a Toyota Supra which lost control around a bend and slammed into a tree on Friday night.
17-year-old Mason Hooton and 16-year-old Callum Mummery died at the scene.
All four teenagers in the car went to Comet Bay College with Shaun and Callum due back today following school holidays.
The driver and Mason had already left the Secret Harbour school.
Shaun’s parents Karen and Alan, and brother Julian, issued a statement on Monday to Seven News.
"There is no change in his condition but he is a fighter and will continue to fight.
“The family is very aware of the huge amount of love and support being sent to our dear son and brother, Shaun Sparrow,” the statement read.
“We are finding strength in that love and support.
“Shaun is in intensive care at RPH and receiving the best possible care with his medical team."
