A fire burning in the suburb is causing smoke over roads and reduced visibility.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services has issued a smoke alert for Mardella in the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale.

DFES said motorists in the area should drive slowly and be extremely careful when on the roads.
