A smoke alert is in place for parts of the Perth area following prescribed burns.
The Parks and Wildlife Service has issued the alert for the area between Rockingham, the Perth Hills and Two Rocks.
The smoke is the result of a number of prescribed burns being carried out today, with it expected to clear by tomorrow afternoon.
People with respiratory issues are advised to take usual precautions.
Motorists are asked to take care on the roads, and it's recommended residents in the affected areas shut doors and windows and turn off air-conditioners.
There are some concerns the smoke could last longer with additional prescribed burns scheduled for today.
There's a prescribed burn in Serpentine today near Karnup Road and Hall Road.
