A 23-year-old man from Perth's southern suburbs has been charged with 64 offences as part of an ongoing investigation into his alleged offending against women he met through online dating sites.
The man allegedly committed the offences, which include rape, aggravated assault, stalking and threatening to kill, against nine female victims between 2016 and 2023.
"As part of the investigation, officers executed a search warrant at the man’s Treeby home where they seized numerous electronic storage devices, cameras, and computers. Forensic analysis of the devices identified further victims," a WA Police spokesperson said.
"One mobile phone contained over 232,000 images and 9,300 videos.
"A digital forensic examination of seized material is continuing and detectives have located images and information relating to a large number of women they are attempting to identify."
The Treeby man's charges include:
• 12 x Aggravated Sexual Penetration without Consent;
• 9 x Acts to Endanger Life, Health or Safety;
• 6 x Aggravated Assault Causing Bodily Harm;
• 5 x Aggravated Common Assault;
• 5 x Aggravated Stalking;
• 5 x Aggravated Indecent Assault;
• 5 x Fail to Obey Order;
• 4 x Persistent Family Violence;
• 2 x Aggravated Threats to Kill;
• 1 x Sexual Penetration Without Consent;
• 1 x Common Assault;
• 1 x Deprivation of Liberty;
• 1 x Criminal Damage;
• 1 x Trespass;
• 1 x Threats to Compel;
• 1 x Aggravated Threats to Harm;
• 1 x Stealing;
• 1 x Aggravated Home Burglary and Commit;
• 1 x Possess Other Article; and
• 1 x Being Armed to Cause Fear.
He is next due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on May 18.
