A staff member has been thrown to the ground and assaulted during a robbery at a store in Greenfields.
Police say a man selected a variety of items from the discount store on Pinjarra Road and placed them in his purple backpack around 2pm on Friday, October 27.
"Upon leaving the store, the man was confronted by a female employee who attempted to recover the stolen items," a WA Police spokesperson said.
During a brief altercation between the pair, the staff member was thrown to the ground and assaulted by the man.
Another employee and a member of the public intervened, causing the man to flee the area on a bicycle.
A female witness – wearing a green shirt and black pants – was seen to be recording the incident.
Detectives urge that woman, and anyone else who witnessed the incident, to contact Mandurah Police Station on 9581 0222.
