More than 30 residents called the SES for help after isolated wind gusts of over 100km/h hit the Rockingham suburb in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The strong winds propelled the tiles into neighbouring properties and vehicles, while the solar hot water system of another house was torn off the roof and found down the road.
While some residents initially thought it was a tornado that ripped through their suburb, the Bureau of Meteorology confirmed it was a storm cell.
