Joondalup Detectives said a 13-year-old girl assaulted the other teenager when they were playing for opposing teams during a girls junior football match in Heathridge on Friday.
The victim was taken to Perth Children's Hospital where she is receiving ongoing treatment.
The 13-year-old from hocking has been charged with grievous bodily harm and is due to appear before the Joondalup Children's Court next month.
