Detectives have taken a woman into custody over the alleged assault of a toddler at a Perth shopping centre.
CCTV captured the moment the woman allegedly approached a mother who was holding her two-year-old child, before she struck the toddler in the face at the East Victoria Park shopping centre just before 1.30pm on Tuesday.
The toddler suffered facial injuries.
Police released a photo and the name of the 21-year-old asking for the public's help to find her.
She was arrested at Mirrabooka Shopping Centre just after 11am on Wednesday.
Charges are yet to be laid.
