The champion lost his battle with cancer.
After last week announcing he will end his treatment and go into palliative care, Jarrod Lyle has sadly lost his battle with cancer.
The 36-year-old golfer is survived by his wife Briony, and daughters Lusi, 6, and Jemma, 2.
"It breaks my heart to tell everyone that Jarrod is no longer with us," Mrs Lyle said in a statement.
"He asked that I provide a simple message: 'Thanks for your support, it meant the world. My time was short, but if I've helped people think and act on behalf of those families who suffer through cancer, hopefully it wasn't wasted'."
Lyle's wife said he died at 8.20pm on Wednesday. He was surrounded by friends and family in Victoria.
The father-of-two had already beaten leukaemia twice, as a teenage in 1998 and again in 2012.
There will be a public memorial service at The Sands in Torquay at a date to be announced.
