The Singleton community have rallied around the family of Laeticia Brouwer who was killed by a shark while surfing off Esperance.
A vigil on Singleton Beach has been organised by residents to pay tribute to the young local surfer who died on Monday afternoon after being bitten on the leg.
"As a community, we will be rallying together as a time of reflection and a showing of support for the Brouwer family this Sunday evening at 5:30pm (April 23rd)," a community Facebook post read.
"Please meet at Singleton Beach (main car park entrance) where you can paddle out if you wish, or place a flower in the ocean to remember Laeticia."
A GoFundMe page has also been set up to help Laeticia's family financially.
