A child playing with matches started a house in Kwinana fire overnight.
Emergency services were called to a home on Fennager Way in Calista around 2.30am this morning after receiving multiple calls of smoke and fire from residents on the street.
The fire started when a child playing with matches set a mattress on fire.
There were several children inside the home at the time but only one child needed to be treated for smoke inhalation.
The damage from the blaze sits at around $200,000.
