An electric blanket has sparked a fire which gutted a home in Mardella near Mundijong.
Firefighters were called to the home on Lowlands Road just after 2.30am on Monday.
It took crews an hour to bring the blaze under control.
The occupant escaped unharmed.
The damage bill is expected to be over $200,000.
