Alfred John Impicciatore, who is accused of sexually abusing a young girl who was pimped out by her father, was due to stand trial this week, but did not turn up.
A bench warrant was issued for his arrest on Tuesday, but police have since failed to find the 47-year-old.
Police believe Impicciatore is possibly travelling with 40-year-old Rachel Galvin.
