Firefighters have spent the night mopping up a bushfire that reached a watch and alert in West Pinjarra.
The blaze erupted near the Ampol service station along the Forrest Highway just after 2pm on Tuesday.
The fire forced the closure of the highway for several hours as crews worked to bring the blaze under control.
A bushfire advice remains for the area with nearby residents and businesses urged to remain vigilant as temperatures soar into the high 30s on Wednesday and Thursday.
The cause of the bushfire is not yet known.
