Francis John Wark has been found guilty of murdering Mandurah teenager Hayley Dodd.
Reports from the ABC confirm Francis John Wark has just been found guilty of murdering Hayley Dodd in 1999.
She was last seen in 1999 walking along a road near Badgingarra in the Wheatbelt.
61-year-old Wark fronted court today where a judge-only trial ruled he was guilty of the murder.
Wark was extradited to Western Australia to stand trial in the Supreme Court of Western Australia over Hayley's death.
The ABC report during the trial Wark maintained he was out on his "weekly shopping ritual" during the time of Hayley's abduction and murder.
His lawyer Darryl Ryan said evidence could have been planted in Wark's car by police under pressure to solve the case.
Wark did not give any evidence but the ABC report a video-recorded interview with police played to the court, showed Wark telling detectives: "I'm not guilty. You're wasting your time.
In October 2017 the Hayley Dodd murder trial was told a man driving in the Wheatbelt on the day the Mandurah teenager disappeared saw a girl in a car with her palms pressed against the window.
In a statement given to police in 2010, Bradley John Davies said he was driving to Perth when he saw a teenager walking along the side of the road but decided not to pick her up because he had already agreed to give a lift to a man whose Kombi had broken down.
He claims a short time later, he was overtaken by a white vehicle carrying the teenager who looked out the window at him.
Convicted rapist Francis John Wark was on trial in the Supreme Court accused of luring Hayley into an old white Holden ute and murdering her.
This case has now closed with Wark convicted of the murder.
