Two men have been rescued after their boat sunk off Garden Island.
The alarm was raised around 7pm on Tuesday after the boat started taking on water in the Cockburn Sound area.
Fremantle Port’s pilot vessel Genesis first located the men in the water, and kept an eye on them until Water Police arrived a couple of minutes later.
The two men, aged 32 and 28, were pulled from the water by Water Police around 7.15pm and were taken to a Rockingham jetty where their car was parked.
Neither were injured.
Their vessel could not be recovered.
A WA Police spokesperson said the pair had all the correct safety equipment onboard, including life jackets and flares, which significantly assisted police with the rescue.
