A 37-year-old was fined after her dog was involved in an attack on a Waroona property last year.

Amanda Jackson did not appear in court, and entered an endorsed guilty plea to having a dog in place without consent and being the person liable for a dog attack on a person or animal.

At 11:30am on Monday 22 October, 2018, David French was working in a shed on his Waroona property when he heard his Jack Russell dog barking.

He walked outside to find a male Dogue de Bordeaux dog attacking one of his rams.

The ram sustained puncture wounds to its legs, and Mr French was able to secure the male dog and another female dog in a yard.

The rangers were notified and the ram was taken to a Waroona vet.

The vet costs were fully covered by Ms Jackson, and the dogs have since been re-homed.

Magistrate Anne Longden fined Ms Jackson $2000 plus $205.30 in court costs.
