Mandurah motorists are being advised to expect delays this week, with part of Mandurah Terrace closed to facilitate works on the traffic bridge.
Mandurah Terrace between Pinjarra Road and Smart Street will be closed for five days from Tuesday June 6.
"The closure is required to remove the launch nose (steel section attached to the front of the new bridge) as part of the Old Mandurah Traffic Bridge replacement project, which is due for completion in early 2018," a Main Roads statement said.
Signed detours for road users and pedestrians will be in place via Sholl Street and Tuckey Street, with the Mandurah Traffic Bridge and Pinjarra Road remaining open.
Cafes and shops located on Mandurah Terrace and the foreshore will also remain open during the works.
"Main Roads and the City of Mandurah apologises for an inconvenience experienced during this time."
