A 23-year-old man has been arrested overnight after a police pursuit through Warnbro.
Officers patrolling the area spotted a stolen Nissan X-Trail on Bristol Street around 9.30pm.
They activated their lights and sirens but the driver allegedly sped off, leading police on a chase through several streets.
The car was eventually abandoned on Hokin Street after one of the tyres became damaged.
The driver allegedly ran but was arrested at a nearby petrol station.
The man of no-fixed-address has been charged with a string of offences including stealing a motor vehicle, failing to stop, reckless driving and no authority to drive.
He will appear in court today.
