A 27-year-old man has been charged after a police chase through Perth's south-east.
Officers allegedly saw the man driving at speed in a Hyundai hatchback on Muriel Street in Gosnells around 12.10am on Wednesday.
The man allegedly failed to stop for police and was followed through several streets before abandoning his car on Fremantle Road and fleeing on foot.
Police dog Nacho later found the man lying in bushes in the front yard of a home on Eynesford Street in Gosnells.
The Hammond Park man has been charged with breach of bail, failing to stop, reckless driving and no authority to drive.
He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today.
The vehicle was impounded for 28 days.
