Detectives are investigating after a Rockingham man was left with facial injuries during a violent robbery.
Around 3.30am this morning Jesse Lee was approached by two unknown men while he was fishing at the Val Street jetty in Rockingham.
Police said the men assaulted the victim and stole his car keys.
Mr Lee was treated at Rockingham Hospital for non-life threatening facial injuries.
The two men were last seen heading in a westerly direction along the Esplanade, Rockingham with the stolen vehicle, a 2006 blue Mitsubishi Lancer 1CDM 560.
The vehicle is fitted with roof racks and a camouflage coloured kayak was secured to the racks.
Anyone with any information relating to this incident or who has seen the Mitsubishi Lancer, registration number 1CDM 560 is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
