Condom manufacture Durex has recalled some Australia products amid fears they could split.
Latex company Durex has recalled a selection of its products from Australian stores after in-house testing revealed in-house non-latex condoms did not meet
specific requirements.
The company said its 'Durex Real Feel' non-latex condoms were not likely to meet specifications at the end of its shelf-life in 2021, with concerns the product could split or break.
The Therapeutic Goods Administration said the affected condoms come from batch number 1000432443, expiry date January 2021.
The affected batch 1000432443 was distributed to retailers from 8 May 2018 until 25 June 2018.
There is no immediate safety concern for consumers and there have been no adverse events reported in Australia regarding this batch of condoms.
Durex said it believes only one batch of the product was affected and there were no immediate safety concerns.
