A man has been charged after allegedly asking people for taxi money to get to his marron farm in Serpentine, which does not exist.
The 54-year-old man allegedly asked members of the public in the Perth metro area for taxi money several times, claiming he had lost his wallet.
He allegedly told the people he needed the money to return to his marron farm in Serpentine and would repay them but never did.
The Perth man has been charged with 29 counts of gains benefit by fraud.
He will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today.
