Rockingham Detectives are investigating after a teenage girl was assaulted in Rockingham over the weekend.
Around 11:25am on Friday a 17-year-old girl was waiting at a bus stop on Council Avenue when a woman she didn't know approached her and started abusing the victim before pushing her backwards.
The woman then indecently assaulted her whist verbally abusing the girl.
The victim managed to break free and board a bus that had just arrived at the bus stop.
The woman is described as being in her mid-30s, dark skinned, with a slim build, approximately 155cms tall and black hair.
She was wearing a black t-shirt with FILA written on the front, dark coloured shorts, fingerless gloves and reflective mirror sunglasses.
Detectives are requesting anyone who saw the incident, or who was travelling in the area around the above time to check if they have any dash cam footage of the incident.
