A 33 year old male tourist's body has been discovered in central Australia according to the ABC.
The man was reportedly on his way to climb Mount Sonder on the Larapinta Trail yesterday morning and was found deceased less than a kilometre from the carpark that afternoon.
Police heard a 40 year old man was walking with the tourist before the 33 year old made a wrong turn on their way back.
Temperatures in that area usually peak quite high, yesterday Alice Springs reached a top of 42 degrees Celsius.
Police are investigating.
