Major Crash Detectives are investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred in Bookara yesterday afternoon, 2 August 2018.
The crash occurred on the Brand Highway near the Butcher Road at about 2:50pm, when a silver Toyota Camry sedan, travelling north crossed into the southbound lane and collided head on with a white Toyota LandCruiser that was towing a trailer.
The driver of the Camry, a 53-year-old man from Landsdale, was conveyed to the Geraldton Hospital in a critical condition. The two female passengers from the Camry, aged 54 and 59, died at the scene.
The driver of the LandCruiser, a 42-year-old man from Carine, was also conveyed to the Geraldton Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators would like to speak to anyone that witnessed the crash or saw either of the vehicles driving in the Geraldton/Dongara areas prior to the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or to make a report online at crimestopperswa.com.au
