New citizens and big Aussie breakfasts will be on the cards for the City of Mandurah this Friday.
The City of Mandurah will again be hosting foreshore festivities for the 2018 Australia Day celebration.
This Friday will see Mandurah's largest annual Citizenship Ceremony.
Between 7.00am - 9.00am residents can enjoy a $6 Aussie breakfast thanks to the Lions Club of Mandurah and live music provided by the Mandurah Concert Band.
The official ceremony starts at 8.30am with the winners for the Community Citizen of the Year Awards announced.
Following the awards ceremony over 100 new citizens will take their oath and become Australia's newest citizens.
The City of Mandurah's festivities concludes at 11.00am with a flotilla of boats on the estuary, organised by Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club, competing for the best dressed title awarded by Mandurah's Mayor, Rhys Williams at approximately.
If you're more of a night owl there are plenty of celebrations around town.
The Brighton Hotel will host a party run by the Could Be Good collective and Ugly DJ co. who (we think jokingly) say if a thousand people attend Daryl Braithwaite will be flown over to sing his famous Horses track.
Around the corner The Monkey Bar and Lounge will be putting on their celebrations with a best dressed competition and more.
While there aren't fireworks in Mandurah the Perth Skyworks show will kick off from 8.00pm over the Swan River.
