Aya Hishmeh has pleaded not guilty to murdering Jacob Cummins during an incident in Canning Vale.
Twenty-one year old Aya Hishmeh sobbed in court as she pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and attempted murder during a session in the West Australian Supreme Court on Wednesday morning.
Hishmeh was charged with murdering Baldivis teenager Jacob Cummins, after she allegedly hit him with her car during a brawl in Canning Vale in December 2017.

The 17-year-old died from his injuries. A fight had broken out between two groups of teenagers in the Canning Vale area, and continued along Eucalyptus Boulevard, where Jacob and his four of his friends were allegedly run down by Ms Hishmeh.

The accused has been remanded in custody with a trial scheduled to begin on January 30 next year.
